Hi there,

how are we supposed to solve the exercises? Are we allowed to use the internet for help? For some questions, there isn't enough information on the slides to answer them properly.

Also, how are the exercises graded? The introduction states that we need to achieve at least ~32% of the total points from the exercises. However, the table is a bit confusing to me. Do we need to achieve 100% on the first six exercises to reach the 31.25% total? Or is it enough to get over 50% on each of the first six exercises to pass?

Hey,

Yes, of course you can (and in many cases will need to) do your own research to answer the questions.

Each of the exercises will give 10 points, there will be (at least at the current planning stage) 12 exercises in total. The percentages given in the lecture are the sum of your exercise points divided by 120 (10 points times 12 tutorials). Meaning the simple average of all tutorials. It does not matter when the points are achieved over the course of the semester.

50% for 6/12 exercises are 30/120=0.25=25%, so not enough.

This calculation should also update appropriatly in the PANDA course under “Grades”.
