Ask a Question
Same origin or not?
0
votes
Hello!
I hope someone answers, its a last minute exam-brain-foggy question.
Say for this URL:
https://websec.com/exam/test.js?key=val#MostFun
Is this same origin or not? ftps://websec.com:443
I think that Same origin = same scheme+same host same port.
But for some reason my brain isn't convinced and i just need confirmation from someone who knows rather than an LLM.
Thanks in advance!

ftps://websec.com:443 uses scheme (protocol) ftps (even though the port 443 is reserved for HTTPS, but the server might offer ftps connection over port 443 for whatever reason), while the first url uses scheme https

I'm not the one that posted the question. But because it's a different scheme, its NOT same origin, yeah?
